A Blessed Weekend
Well how iz we doi' tonight? as for me well we just
gettin' back from Dawson-ville Ga. We had a blast. But the real kicker is that we went to a Christian Family Center Fri.
night that was a eye opener let me tell ya. We have went past this place a thousand times and never thought that was a rehab
for people I neva paid attention to tell you the truth.
Ya'll when we pulled in the drive way we was thinking
that there wasn't alot of people in here but boy was we eva wrong. yall there was much people in there. Young and old.
We got up and played our set like always. but ya know what was different? we didn't wanna stop cause these guys
was awesome they sat there and listened to everthang that was said and done. they was great and i want to say thank you guys
for what ya done for me. I was able to share my testimony with them and i was eva so scared.
these guys are in this camp
because they made bad choices in their lives. but who are we to judge? we ani't. but it was a eye opener for me because
I have been down there too. This center is for people who has a problem with drugs, drinkin' and just plain old trouble.
and thy are giving a second chance to make it right not only with the law but with God Himself. They have a choice to either
go to the center or either serve their time in jail.
People don't judge these guys cause they were the best
crowd they was so polite, well-mannered and after we were done with our set they came up yall everyone of them they came up
and shook our hands and told us how much they enjoyed us coming and that it self was a blessing.
But they real
blessing was when we was just standing there they wanted to tal and some even shared their testomonny praise god.

What a friend means to me
There are a lot of you that know me and then there
area lot of you that know me just in passing. Today I want you to know me on a personal level. I would like to take this time
to talk with you and tell my testimony.
My name is Mary and I have had a rough life in the past, I was married
and had two children. Mark and Joseph. I was in a abusive marriage that lasted 25 years. Let me stop there and tell you a
little bit about that. Not only was he abusive to me but to our children as well. Over time my family stepped in
and took me to a women's shelter. They helped me be able to get a divorce.
As time rocked
on and I was able to overcome all of this I was finally able to get into church. I rededicated my life, the lord showed me
that there was better way of life and also a better man out there for me that would take me and show me what
love really is. I found a man name Ricky Palmer and we have known each other for 25 years now we were friends before we got
married. We have been married for 6 years. I am a preachers wife, and I sing with The Dixie Sonlighters as their tenor singer.
I help write Let-Go and Let-God, I came up with the title cut for A Friend is better than a dollar. I
have 4 grandchildren. I love my family and my new family.
Our group is one family and I thank God for them. They
show me love that I have never felt. Please remember me in your prayers and I will remember you in mine as well.

Just A Little While Longer
I've heard this phrase all my life either someone said it or it was said to me. now i set out to understand what
will i must do with a little while longer.
(1) I must first ask the lord's help with my little while longer.
a. At the beginning of each day, mine starts with setting in the seat of a big truck,
waiting for it to warm up. I have a period of time where i can use this time or i could just sit there and do nothing.
b. I have come to relize that in this time I have enough to make my connection
with God and find the direction of my day.
(2) I know as you listen to 18 wheels rollin' in the first verse
it talks about as I prayed i could feel the spirit coming down on me.
a. Only through
prayer can our day start right.
b. We can't expect anything of God to happen
that day unless we talk with Him. ask, what's your will for my life today God and you'll see the results.
c. We must put fourth our own effort for God to work in our lives. In other words we must get out of the boat not just sit
there and float.
(3.) As i pray i renew my faith in God and my relationship with God and that get's God's
attention in my day thru this prayer time.
a. This also applies to each time you
are told or you hear just a little while longer.
b. this method of worship will
work in all these times of a little while longer.
c. If we will only take the time
to start communication with God at the beginning of our day or the beginning of hearing just a little while longer you'll
find that all these things that you can't seem to understand that are happening to you or in your life will be answered
in a way you can understand.
d. And then you can understand what I ment by as i
prayed I could feel the glory coming down.
(4.) We as Christians can never accomplish anything of any value
without God in the beginning in middle and in the end.
My prayer for each one who reads this
is that God will walk close by and let you know in His own ways that just A Little While Longer may be more than a few
minute's, days, weeks, months or years. But you can count on the fact that your faith has been exercised thru your conversation
with God about what your insterst are in this life. The little in a little while is the time you use to talk with your
father about your life ambitions and receive your direction that is His will for you.
this has become
a routine in my life for a little while longer. We only have this one chance to really be all we can for Christ. he gave it
all for US. I choose to give it all to Him each day that He gives me. I want to tell you that it does take money to live but
a friend will take you "much, much futher than any money can. And those friends only are made through God."
