Thank you for visiting with The Dixie Sonlighters. We hope that something you see or hear will bless you. Our ministry has been going for 26 years this year. We started singing in a lot of nursing homes. Christine Simons promised the Lord when he healed her of cancer that she would go and carry his word. We now do a mix of Southern, Bluegrass, and Country Gospel. We hope that our music will uplift and encourage your heart to keep walking in the light of the Lord.

We are looking for more Churches that can book us for sings. If you or someone you know books for a church contact us and we will be glad to sing at your church we have a Demo CD if needed.

Just checking In

Hello all I hope everyone had a great Easter. We did. I just wanted to check in with you guys and see how yall been doing. As for The Dixie Sonlighters we've been doing good and staying busy. Last weekend we were to go to Danielsville Ga. and we didn't get to make it. To start off with Ricky and Tine was sick and then we made it to Sandersville and the muffler thingie broke and we couldn't go cause the way the thing broke it was gonna cause a fire in the motor and we didn't need that so Jason and Ricky ummmm fixed ya know jammed a thing of wood up in it and it held till we got home and so you would think that would be all the Devil was gonna throw at us that day but oh no he wasn't finished yet. After me and Jason got home and Uncle Ricky took Tine and Jim home you'll neva guess what happened next..
Uncle Ricky put the bus in a ditch. Now we live on a dirt road and they had just put fresh dirt on the top of the hill and he got a little bit to close to the soft dirt and it went in the ditch.

OOOOOOOHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Thank God Uncle Ricky and Aunt Mary didn't get hurt . Just the microwave. HAHAHAHAHAHA.. I can laugh about it now but at the time I was to scared to say anything to anyone cause i didn't wanna get fussed at. HAHAHA.
But the Lord seen to send some guys here at home to pull the bus out with their tractors. So it was ok. Uncle Ricky and Aunt MAry got home and the bus went to sleep for a few days. HAHAHAHAHAHA.
But you see when you are doing what God has called you to do. The Devil will fight you every step of the way. If the Devil isn't fighting you and you are truly saved then i would suggest you do some checking up.
Cause the weekend before all of this we was at a church service and there was souls saved and touched and rededications and all these things happened that night and believe it or not the Devil got mad. and he had to show us we was weak and not worthy of anything we have been tring to do . GUESS WHAT!! We serve a awesome God and we praise Him in the good times and even in the bad times. The reason I say that is because maybe it wasn't right for some reason or other for us to go to Danielsville that night we don't know but God does He is watching out for us when noone eles is. We never know what lays ahead of us along the highways always remember to watch , pray and be ready. Cause you never know what life is going to through your way today. Because tomorrow is not promised to anybody.
To the people in Danielsville we are truely sorry and missed you each and every one of you guys and we pray that you forgive us and we will see you on the next appointed time.

This Saturday we were able to go to Monroe Ga. and what a service that was PRAISE GOD !!!! There was souls saved and we Praise God for that. God was really there Sat. night and you could fell HIS presents.

To the folks that have these Gospel barns and Opry Houses I personally want to tell yall I think you are doing a great thing there is so many lost people out here in this world that needs to hear Gods word and I pray for yall daily that God will bless each of you 100 fold and with strength to keep carry His word. I know it takes money to keep places like that open you have heat and lights and water bills and all that i think you are doing a great job God Bless each of you.
