Thank you for visiting with The Dixie Sonlighters. We hope that something you see or hear will bless you. Our ministry has been going for 26 years this year. We started singing in a lot of nursing homes. Christine Simons promised the Lord when he healed her of cancer that she would go and carry his word. We now do a mix of Southern, Bluegrass, and Country Gospel. We hope that our music will uplift and encourage your heart to keep walking in the light of the Lord.

We are looking for more Churches that can book us for sings. If you or someone you know books for a church contact us and we will be glad to sing at your church we have a Demo CD if needed.

Running Like Chickens W/ no heads

Yes i know it's been awhile since we have posted a blog but just think this time we have lots going on. This weekend we were in Dawsonville GA, as always we had a blast. We would like to say Thank you to Mr. Jene and Mrs.Peggy for lunch it was really nice to meet your family and to just be with friends. That means alot these day.
We went to Gospel Jubilee Sat. night and had a great time in the Lord. After the service most of us went to bed and some stayed up and had a time of sharing testimony's along with serval folks that were there.
Let me take ya back to last Thursday, me and Mrs.Christine was sitting at the computer looking at the group0s web-site and there was 1347 hits thats a counter we have on the site that just tells how many times the site has been viewed. I said I was going to pray that 1500 hits would be on there when we got back. I never said a thing to anybody in the group not even Jason . We kept it to our selves. So when we came in i was checking to see if anybody had signed our guest-book and not thinking about the counter.. I happened to look up and it was on 1474 so we was just talking and i was kind of disappointed but that's ok. But all of a sudden the counter went to jumping it went from 1474 to 1562 before it stopped.
That was pure shock to all of us. You know when the youngest of the group which is Justin who is 11 says now that's of God. The tears went to flowing. That will make you humble.
i know that some people would say it's just a web-site. Yes that's true. But to us it's God's web-site. This is not a joke people we are out hear speading God's Boldy Weneed prayer daily because this life we are living THE BATTLE IS RAGING BUT THE SOLDIERS ARE FEW!!!!!
As most of you know we are planing out annual p-nut boil and gospel fest. So yea we kinda busy. The excitement is in the air...WE are looking for God to move in a mighty way..souls saved and rededicationtime of sharing and fellowship and singing His praise and worship..A time to LET GO AND LET GOD .
